First came inquisitive little eyes, gleaming with expectation, but hidden away under caps. Then, when the caps, parkas and mittens had been safely stowed away, and the eyes focused on the stage, a little mole appeared. And the next moment – oops, and there was pooh on its head. Now, who could be so bad as to do such a thing? A pigeon? A cow? A piglet? A rabbit? No, none of them. It was a dog, and for being a naughty dog, it got pooh on his head, too.  

But the inquisitive little eyes stared into the first of December's beards and its owner, St Nicholas. They then shifted to his bag full of colourful wooden tiles. Three cheers for the Beard of the Year and his gifts! And three cheers for Futura's inquisitive little eyes!
